As it has become tradition, there will be a golf outing on the Friday before the Wayne C. Smith Memorial Golf Outing - Duke's yearly tribute to his father.

Arnold Palmer is playing in a big tournament and comes to a 235 yard par-3.  After some thought, he takes out his 3 iron and hits the ball 20 feet over the pin and it backs up to within 3 feet of the hole.

A fan in the crowd asks "Arnie, how do you make a 3 iron back up like that?"

Arnold Palmer replies "Do you own a 3 iron?"

The fan says "Yes sir, I do."

Arnie asks "How far do you hit it?"

The fan tell Arnie "About 160 yards."

Arnie asks the fan "What the hell do you want it to back up for?"

"It's in the hole!"
Golfer: While lying ten and facing a 35 foot putt asks his caddy "How do you think this will break?"
Caddy: "Who cares?"
